I had a lot of time to kill today, as Naomi was busy all day. Being a beautiful Sunday afternoon, I jumped in the car and just drove, checking the street directory every now and then to see if there were any interesting things nearby.
One place I discovered which I didn't know existed, was the Monash Gallery of Art. I didn't have time to enter, but I enjoyed walking around the gardens outside, which had a small number of works of art on display. Here is a couple I particularly liked:

Curlicue 2002 – Lisa Young
steel, enamel paint
Curlicue 2002 – Lisa Young
steel, enamel paint
Mom and the two kids – Demographically Oz 2001 – David Doyle
fibreglass and marine grade paint finish
This lovely daffodil was growing in the gallery's grounds.
I managed to catch the sun setting behind (and through!) a couple of the larger buildings in Melbourne's CBD.

I looks like a great gallery. I can’t wait to visit it myself.
