This is an experimental idea that came together better than I had hoped! I’ve previously experimented with time lapse, which I enjoyed, and this was an idea that came to me after I remembered having seen similar done some time ago. I wanted to put my own twist on it, however, by using the fisheye lens for an unusual perspective. I put the camera on tripod in the back seat with one leg on the central console, and the laptop connected to the camera via usb on the back seat. Then with the camera snapping away, I just drove around some of the local streets for a few minutes. I'm very happy with the results and want to experiment more with this in the future.

what software do you use to create the time-lapse video? i created a few videos just using Windows Movie Maker, but I’m sure there’s better software, plus I’d rather use my mac….btw, this video is great!

Scott, very simply, I used VirtualDub. It lets me load an image sequence (identified by filename) which I can then save as a video file of whatever format I have available to me depending on the various codex. It also let me overlay the audio track. It’s very simple without many editing tools, but it’s free and got the job done.

How do I make the time lapse video play? I don’t see a link or button here.
Thanks.
