A problem fixed and a look to the future.

An apology.
I’ve been busy lately and haven’t been able to stay as up to date with the blog as I’d like. I apologise for how far behind I am with Project 365. I’ll be working hard to catch up as we head into the new year.
Problem fixed!
I just managed to fix a rather frustrating problem that’s been plagueing the blog for several weeks. The front page of the blog wasn’t updating with new posts after the 19th of November. For anyone visiting the front page, they’d have seen the same jewellery photo since that date. I also heard that the RSS feeds weren’t updating for some people in that time either. If this happened for you, I’m terribly sorry. Everything should be working properly now. I hope that you won’t get all of the backlog of entries in your feed reader at once. If you do, have fun catching up!
Keen viewers may also notice that I’ve started adding a small copyright image to my photos as a watermark. This is just to protect my images and to help those who may find my images elsewhere find their source.
Towards the future.
Moving forward into the new year, I have lots of ideas for the blog. I don’t want to give too much away, nor do I want to commit myself to obligations I won’t be able to meet, but I want to give regular readers something to look forward to, and maybe encourage casual readers to subscribe to the blog’s feed (via the box at the top right of this page!) so they can stay up to date with the new things.
- My participation in Project 365 – taking and posting at least one photo for every day of a year – will continue into the new year, concluding at the end of March.
- I’m planning to make stronger ties with some of my fellow bloggers, and I have a guest post for the wonderful Epic Edits photography blog in the early stages of development, so watch for that soon.
- Also inspired by other bloggers I have a number of ideas for interesting photographic projects for you to participate in if you like. I intend for them all to be thought-provoking educational challenges for photographers, and I want them to be as open and accessible as possible to anyone with any level of camera equipment and skill.
- I intend to continue to refine the design of the blog, trim the unnecessary stuff, add in some new useful features, and bring the rest of my site in-line as well so that I can more extensively cross-link to my other work, especially panoramas.
- And finally, I’m looking into the best way to start offering my very best photos for purchase as high quality photographic prints. I think that the best of my work is up to the standard of other photo print sites out there, and I hope you’ll agree that they’re worthy of a place on your wall or your desk.

I am pretty new to digital imaging and computers. I am retired and my husband and I spend most of our time caravaning to various golf courses around Australia. He plays golf while I follow around with a video camera and a digital still camera. Needless to say I am compiling a very large amount of golf and wildlife vision.(Not all of the wildlife is human).
I love what you are doing and hope to have my own blog one of these days and will be copying a lot of what you have done. Hope you don’t mind.
I love your idea of photographic projects and hope that a beginner like me may be able to take part and maybe get some ideas and tips from some of the experts.

Robbie – Thank you so much for such a thoughtful post. I’m thrilled that you enjoy my blog and hope that you continue to find the content useful to you in your journey through the world of photography. Please do consider participating in the monthly projects. I try to keep them as open as possible to a wide range of skill levels, so that everyone can get something out of it. Occasionally there may be a project that is best suited to DSLR cameras, but even then I’ll try and give an alternative activity for those without them.
Look forward to lots more shared learning, and please ask any questions that you may have, and I’ll do my best to answer!
