Our first photo walk was a great success! Including myself, we had fourteen people participate in the walk. A diverse group, including our choice of camera gear, with Nikon just beating Canon, and strong representation for Pentax, and even a compact, and a Soviet-era film camera!

Who wants to do a Melbourne CBD photowalk meet? This meet is all about meeting new friends, learning photography, asking each other questions, getting ideas and inspiration and having fun with our cameras.

Last weekend I attended a wedding of two good friends, both as a guest and as the official photographer. I had a great time, and despite wrangling with a couple of uncoperative flashes, I am happy with how the photos turned out.

The Melbourne Anime Festival, Manifest, is the biggest photo event of the year for me. I’ve been shooting Manifest in one form or another for seven years. This year, however, is different. This year I’ll be doing it professionally.

I love Flickr! It magnificently combines a powerful and fully-featured image sharing site with community features, to create something greater than the sum of its parts. Here I discuss the ten things that I love most about Flickr and its users.
