This is another photo from the anonymous lingerie shoot I did a few weeks ago, but the model and I are now working through the shoot to decide which photos will be suitable for the public album, so hopefully soon you’ll see a lot more! :D
Project 365 and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!
I don’t believe in new years resolutions. I think if something is worth committing to, then why wait for a particular day to start? However, Project 365 is an appropriate thing to start with the new year. A couple of years ago, I participated in a project to take at least one photo a day for a year: Project 365. I have decided to do the project again this year! I haven’t been giving this blog the attention it deserves, and I think P365 will help me to do so, ans I plan to post every photo that I take. I think it’ll also be a lot easier to do this time, because I now have an iPhone! It’s so easy to snap a photo, upload it and post it, all from the iPhone, and all within a few minutes. It’s a lot less hassle than copying files from a memory card, processing and uploading them. I’ll be taking photos for P365 with my 5D MkII as well though, you can be certain.

It’s been a while, and I’ve been very busy, but I haven’t stopped taking photos. To get the ball rolling on this blog again. I’m going to go back in time a little and over the next few days and weeks, I’m going to catch up with some of the many shoots I have done since I last posted here. I hope you enjoy the photos!
A few weeks back, our friends Grug (aka Andy) and Chrissie celebrated their birthdays together. They hired out a holiday house for the weekend about an hour’s drive down the coast, and many of us joined them or stayed nearby for the weekend. We all had a lot of fun, and I took many photos :)

Annie’s Red Dress

Regular readers may remember a photo I did last year for a competition called Aspiring Angel. The model for that shoot was my good friend Annie. At the time, Annie created the outfit she wore specifically for the shoot, however due to concentrating on getting the shot that I needed for the competition, I wasn’t able to get the photos of the outfit she wanted for her design folio. I told her I’d reshoot whenever she wanted.
Last week Annie collected on the favour I owed her. Rather than shoot the angel outfit, she asked me to photograph a gorgeous and stylish red evening dress that she designed and made for a design assigment. Battling a cold, I met her in the Manchester Unity building arcade in the city, to photograph the vintage style dress in the stunning art-deco era building. Below are a few of my favourite photos from the shoot. If you would like to read Annie’s journal entry on the dress, you can find that here.

The very next day after the Alexander/Egan wedding, I was back on the job again, shooting the wedding of another couple of good friends, Phil and Kaz. Exhausted, and still fragile from the virus, I had no time to feel sorry for myself, and quickly immersed myself in the work. At first, this was quite a challenging shoot, which inspired some of the tips at the end of my recent post 18 Bite-Size Photo Tips From My Twitter, but once the after-ceremony party started, I had a blast!
The celebration was based on the Scottish tradition of a Ceilidh (pron. kaylee), which is like a bush or folk dance. The lights went down, the band started up and the whole room went wild. Everyone had a huge amount of fun, as did I photographing them all. I’ll talk more about the technical details another time. While there I also took advantage of the 5D MkII’s video feature and took some footage as well. I’ve included a couple of clips with the photos below. I hope you enjoy them.
