If you were able to give only one piece of advice to other photographers, that would help them take better photos. What would it be?

I would say: Take LOTS of photos. If you see a great shot, take 3 or 5 photos. Provided you look at all the photos you take and learn from what you see, then you will see a big improvement in your work.

What would be your single most important piece of advice?

Don't shoot photographs trying to please everyone. You'll just end up with mediocre shots that you hate.

When you think you are close enough to your subject, get closer!

I agree - always take your camera with you. If you're out and about, it's a real shame to only be able to say "I wish I had my camera" when you could have had a stunning shot.
