He loves to make people look the best when creating an image, and the interaction between subject and photographer that goes into making the perfect photo.

Find Us In The Traders Hall

Map

We are located in the traders hall, next to Conquest Roleplaying and the Mingling Area. Come and watch others having a photo shoot while you wait for yours. We have access to a side door to enter the trader's hall. If you have booked a shoot, come at least ten minutes early and enter via the studio door. This will let you avoid having to make your way through the crowds and possibly miss your booking time. If you wish to be photographed with a prop weapon, you MUST use the studio door. You will receive more information after you book.

FAQ

Can I really have my photo taken for free?
Anyone can come and have a five minute photo shoot with Neil, and after Manifest you'll be able to see your photos, web-sized and watermarked, in an online gallery for free. If you purchase a Photo Package however, you will get a priority photo shoot, and your Photo Package will be posted directly to you within two weeks.

What does "priority photo shoot" mean?
Customers who pay for a Photo Package before their shoot will be given a time slot for their shoot. Those who do not have a booking and want a free photoshoot must wait untill there is an empty slot for the studio to become available. If a customer arrives who purchases a Photo Package, then anyone having a free shoot must leave the studio to make way for them.

When can I see the photos?
If we have the time, we will put the photos from your shoot immediately on a screen we will have there. After the convention, our staff will be working like mad to process and upload the thousands of photos we take at Manifest so you can see them. Return to this web page for a link to the gallery after Manifest. We estimate that the first few photos will go online by Monday evening.

When are you open?
We will be shooting throughout Manifest, from 11am Friday to 5:30pm on Sunday. During the cosplay and FRUiTS competitions, Elias will be relieving Neil while he goes to cover these events. There will be other short periods of up to half an hour when we will not be shooting, including our lunch break and to cover other important Manifest events.

How does the photographing with cosplay weapons work?
If you want to have your weapon in a photo shoot, you need to come to our desk and ask for a token. Take the token you are given to the cloak room and exchange it for your weapon/s. Bring the weapon immediately to the photo studio via the studio door and have your photos in your turn. You are not permitted to carry your weapons through the traders hall, so you must enter via the studio door. After the photo shoot, return to the cloak room to leave your weapon there again. One token is needed for each person who wants to be photographed with a weapon. If you have prebooked your shoot, you will still need to visit our table to collect your token so that you may retrieve your weapon.

It's after Manifest, now what?
Not long after Manifest, once all of the photos have been processed and placed in the online gallery, you will receive an email from us with instructions. If you have chosen the large print Photo Package, you will be told how to pick which photo you want printed and email us your request. Your CDs and/or prints will be delivered approximately two weeks after Manifest.
