The good news – My DPS post is Dugg!
Following up from the much-discussed 10 Things I Hate About Flickr (And its Users) last week, I wrote a post for DPS titled How to Win Friends and Influence People – A Guide to Commenting on Other People’s Photos. (Title suggested by Darren of DPS ;) ) Wow, what a can of worms I opened!
The post seems to have been highly controversial! It’s only been online for a day and a half, and already there have been 69 comments of often diametrically opposed viewpoints, and it has even made it to the front page of Digg, after being submitted by the owner of Digg, Kevin Rose himself! If you haven’t already, go have a read and throw your two cents into the discussion – everyone else has :)
The bad news – Project postponed this month
Unfortunately, I’m going to have to skip this month’s project. I’m terribly sorry, but after the poor performance of last month’s project due to me starting it late and not giving it enough attention, I don’t want to do the same thing again. Real life is a pain. Naomi’s recovery is continuing, but still takes a lot of attention, I have lots of work to get done at the moment, the winter blues make motivation difficult, and I’m sleeping very poorly due to seasonal bronchitis. I don’t want to complain, I love my life, but I feel you’re owed an explanation.
Please feel free to participate in the weekly photo challenges over at our Flickr group Learning Photography with Neil Creek.
The consolation – A pretty flower!
By way of apology, here’s a flower from our garden – a brand new winter bloom from our daisy bush :)
