Trip to the Hills – Day 3: Snow!

Continuing on from last month’s series of posts about our weekend trip to the Victorian highlands, here’s day three, the long-awaited trip to the snow!

This was the first time my nieces had seen snow (and only about the 5th for me!), and naturally making a snowman and tobogganing were essential activities. The responsibility of ensuring the girls had as much fun possible on the slopes fell to my father and I. I think we enjoyed ourselves at least as much as my nieces, but we had nowhere near the energy they did :)

Trip to the Hills – Day 2: Maze, Kite and Cuteness.

Day two of our trip to the hills was a busy one! Lots of activities for the family.

First we went to the largest hedge maze in the Southern Hemisphere, near Myrtleford.

Manifest meet, Alexandra Gardens

The weekend just gone, I went into one of the city gardens for a meetup of some of my online buddies, from the Melbourne Anime Festival forms, AKA Manifest. Such meets are always lots of fun and this was no exception. I took the opportunity to play with some on-site portrait lighting, as well as a whole bunch of 3D photos. At the Beach – P365 Mar03

It was a hot and sunny day today, so on the spur of the moment we called Anna and suggested an after-work trip to the beach. We’ve done such things before and knowing that the weather was going to be hot Anna and Angus had their beach gear with them.

The water was very fresh and refreshing!

Playing at the beach with family – P365 Feb18

We enjoyed some beautiful warm weather this afternoon, and visited the beach with my sister’s family. Our nieces couldn’t contain their joy at frolicking in the perfect water. Janet even had a go with my camera for a while, while I played with Emma and Rachel.

These cute beach boxes can be seen all the way up and down the East coast of the bay, clustered together here and there. They are almost an icon of the suburban seaside.
