This is the final new weekly post I'm introducing for now. Joining Sunday Links and Tuesday Tutorials, we have Friday Features. Here I will post and talk about some of my favourite and what I consider to be some of my best photos. This gives you a cance to see some of my work outside of the daily Project 365 images I post.
First up I have chosen one of my absolute favourite photos, one of the sunset at Lakes Entrance.
Flickr Tag Error: Call to display photo '500738693' failed.
This photo was taken on our weekend trip to Lakes Entrance in February of this year. It was taken from the footbridge to Ninety Mile Beach over the Cunninghame arm. The sunset was absolutely spectacular that evening, and many many people were out enjoying it.
This photo is actually merged from three different exposures to increase the dynamic range of the image. Due to the huge variation in brightness when photographing such a scene, a single exposure cannot show detail accurately. Three different exposures were merged using layers and masks in photoshop to try and show the scene with a range of brightness more like it appeared to the naked eye.
