It looks like the results of the poll question I asked you several days ago are pretty convincing, with 60 votes in just 9 days, the vast majority interested in participating in a community built around this blog.
I wasn’t very interested in the number of people who didn’t want to join the group (a choice that I’m perfectly happy with – after all, you still read the blog!), but moreso how many people would like to participate. For any online community to succeed, there’s a “critical mass” needed to sustain the enthusiasm and creative energy. It’s impossible to predict what the critical mass number will be, but I’m very happy to see 47 people would like to participate. I think that’s an excellent starting point!
I am very happy and proud to announce the launch of Learning Photography with Neil Creek! Please forgive the egotism of including my name in the group name, but I need to make a reference to the blog name. Also, as a photographer, my name is my brand, so I need to promote it wherever I can, to help me achieve success.
Please join the group and feel free to submit photos (up to 3 per day) and start and participate in discussions. I’ll try to be as active as I can in the group as much as I can, to help answer your questions and to grow the group. See you there!
