Project 365 – Starting again!

You may have noticed the last few posts on the blog have had the phrase "P365" in the title. This is referring to Project 365 a photographic challenge to take and share at least one photo each day for a year. I did this once before, back in 2007, but I've recently been inspired to try again. You can follow along here on this blog!
Why P365?
There's a number of great reasons for me to start up this challenge again, and why you might like to try it yourself:
- Get me thinking about photography every single day.
- Force me to think of creative photography ideas, so that the photos you see aren't all too similar or too boring.
- Document this year of my life, so that I can see what I did each day.
- Give me new content to share via my various online outlets and thus increase my visibility.
- Give all of you interesting stuff to look at which will hopefully educate and inspire your own photography.
- Give me more practice. No matter how long you've been shooting, if you don't practice regularly you'll get rusty.
So far I'm already 42 days into the challenge and I'm pretty pleased with how I've done so far. I've only struggled on a few days, usually the ones with photos of our cats ;) Not all of the photos I post will be beautiful images, new techniques or opportunities to teach you new ideas. Some days I just come up dry, or I want to document something that means something to me personally. I hope you'll forgive these photos occasionally and enjoy the ride!
If you are already doing a P365 project or would like to start up, please link to your P365 gallery in the comments so that we can all see your work! Below I have embedded a slideshow of my Flickr set with my photo so far, or you can
