Grug & Chrissie’s Birthday

It’s been a while, and I’ve been very busy, but I haven’t stopped taking photos. To get the ball rolling on this blog again. I’m going to go back in time a little and over the next few days and weeks, I’m going to catch up with some of the many shoots I have done since I last posted here. I hope you enjoy the photos!

A few weeks back, our friends Grug (aka Andy) and Chrissie celebrated their birthdays together. They hired out a holiday house for the weekend about an hour’s drive down the coast, and many of us joined them or stayed nearby for the weekend. We all had a lot of fun, and I took many photos :)

Welcome to the World, Amy Ruth

Our sixth niece, and third daughter of my sister, Amy Ruth has entered the world into a loving family, and doting grandparents and uncle/aunt.

The vital stats as delivered by the proud parents in the announcement email:

Born at 11am 1st December – water birth
3.715kgs (8lbs 3oz)
50cm long
33cm head circumference

All of the following photos, bar the second, were taken with my favourite portrait lens, the Canon 50mm f1.8 in natural light. The exception was taken with the Tamron 24-135mm to get a bit wider to fit the whole scene in.

Trip to the Hills – Day 3: Snow!

Continuing on from last month’s series of posts about our weekend trip to the Victorian highlands, here’s day three, the long-awaited trip to the snow!

This was the first time my nieces had seen snow (and only about the 5th for me!), and naturally making a snowman and tobogganing were essential activities. The responsibility of ensuring the girls had as much fun possible on the slopes fell to my father and I. I think we enjoyed ourselves at least as much as my nieces, but we had nowhere near the energy they did :)

Trip to the Hills – Day 2: Maze, Kite and Cuteness.

Day two of our trip to the hills was a busy one! Lots of activities for the family.

First we went to the largest hedge maze in the Southern Hemisphere, near Myrtleford.
